Unauthorized Substance Tax
Have you got some weed, maybe some crack cocaine? Well, if you live in tennessee, you are suppose to report that to the revenue dept and pay the official taxes (as determined by amount). If you don't have a tax stamp on your meth, weed, crack, etc, you will have to pay the tax if you arrested w/out that tax stamp. See complete rule here .Small excerpt: The tax applies to substances in the hands of a dealer. The tax is payable within 48 hours of the dealer acquiring the substance. The commissioner will issue stamps to be affixed to the substances to indicate payment of tax. Information obtained in accordance with this act cannot be used in criminal prosecutions, and nothing in the act provides immunity from criminal prosecution. If caught with unauthorized substances that do not have stamps, the Department of Revenue will collect all taxes due on those substances.

Suprisingly, NO one has come forward to get their tax stamps. That's just wrong when people won't come forward to pay their fair share of taxes on their smack, cocaine, weed, meth.
Isn't this a brilliant idea though? ha!
