Just say no,, to what exactly?

Sometimes it's embarrassing to be from Tenn. Like that censorship crap going on w/ the highschool student paper at Oak Ridge High school. The Tennessee Guerilla Women do an excellent job w/ their post, so as not to spit back it out again, check it out here.
On the news last night they showed a high school boy who wore a shirt w/ a pregnant looking belly that said that 'Ignorance got me pregnant'. I thought that was pretty cool that a teen guy would put himself out there like that.

I find the whole concept really strange that education about sex and birth control is really fearful to parents and that they feel like it will lead to more sex and possibly more pregnancies.
This country is so egocentric. If they were to look outside of this nation to see how other nations deal with sex, they might get some helpful hints.
In countries such as Norwegian countries, they have the highest virginity rates. Yet, prostitution is usually legal and with medicine being socialized, birth control and abortion are readily available and free and interestingly enough most abortions are performed on women who thought they were post menopausal. How can this be w/ sex all around and access to stuff right there??? What's the secret you ask? Well, they teach kids EARLY ON a healthy respect for their bodies and about sexuality. So, they make well informed decisions about themselves - b/c they care for themselves, their future and have a healthy self esteem. They also don't have sex pushed at them from every single angle - and then told, NO NO NO and we won't tell you anything about it b/c you might want to do it then, taboo taboo taboo. Information is empowerment folks, no doubt about it. No reason to fear it.
