Bad Blogger
I have hardly been on line as of late.I've been enjoying my time relaxing and taking a little time off from work this past week and having lots of fun. I've hardly even turned on the computer except when I had to at work. I have read some blogs, but haven't commented as I should and I really have missed being a part of the blogging community. It is a family to me and I have missed it.
This weekend my brother was kind enough to take his family to the lake two days in a row. One day we enjoyed loungin on Ft Loudon to the music of Rockin on the Docks.
Then I even got to see this this Guy again, but only briefly, b/c he went below the cabin for what,, I don't even want to know, but I was so disappointed to not get another picture for you again! Of course he had on the same swimsuit (how would I recognize him otherwise?).
The next day we went to Chilhowee lake. It's nestled in the mtns between the Fontana and Tellico lakes and is so clean and has the prettiest views of the Smoky mtns. It's nice to see your feet in the water for a change when you look down, as my brother says! It's at the base of the infamous 'Dragon' that so many motorcyclist come from all over to ride. In just the time that one of us skied, we saw three Ambulances, go by on the road by the lake. It's a really dangerous road. It's something like 318 curves in 11 miles. I think people like ride it just to say they did it, but you have to be so very careful, ya know. I read in the paper each week about someone getting hurt as it increases in popularity.
Anyway, I skied for the first time this year and I am still a bit sore today. Of course I fell like a champ.. as they said, they had never seen anyone skip like a 'rock across water'.
Then on the Fourth, we gathered at Ma's. I made white bean salsa and potato salad, w/ a twist - w/ Blue cheese dressing, I stole the idea from a dear friend at work. I think it will be the new trend in potato salads,, as it was delicious and I highly recommend you trying it.
And today marks my One Year Anniversary of My Independence - My Divorce!
