Happy New Year!

As Newscoma (Trace) said on Facebook, get on outta here 2009. I've never quite been so ready for a year to end. And excited for a year to begin -in a good way.
I've never been more certain of anything that this year is going to be a much better year bearing resolution and new beginnings.
I think most people generally make a few goals they would like to do in the next year. But I don't beat myself up if I don't end up attaining them.

I will camp, as usual. And as much as possible.
I'm going to be more socially active with my friends and family - spend as much time with my niece as I can. Before I know it, she will be a teenager and I won't be cool anymore to her. I'm going to treasure all this time with her that I can.
I'm going to be more active in social justice and helping others.
I would like to read the entire bible (I've never read it cover to cover!) and 15 other books. I read maybe 9-10 books last year, that was rather disappointing. I did read the Twilight series, could that count for 8 books instead of 4 since they are 550-750 pgs each?
I'm going to work very hard on 'wearing this world as if it's a loose garment'. In having to deal with the stress of this divorce, I've learned that everyday stress is not that overwhelming. What is the analogy? "I complained about having no shoes until I met the person with no feet on which to wear them."
I'm going to take good care of my health. I begin this year wearing size 4's mostly - a few 6's depending on brand. I want to end the year doing the same - in good physical shape and health- exercising including yoga, cardio and strength training; taking nutritional supplements; being strong and healthy. And I'd really like to start doing Tai Chi again. I thoroughly enjoyed doing it and learned the entire set many years ago, but so much is forgotten to me, but would be easily learned a second time.

I hope everyone has a great year, filled with blessings... love love..
